Fall 2024 Hog Hunt Report
The hogs have been moving extremely well at night, and we have also noticed them feeding an hour before and after dark as the daily temperatures decline. The acorns have fallen, and the hogs are THICK in the oak bottoms along the river. We opened a pig stomach that was packed completely full of acorns. Trail cameras are filled with pictures of good groups of wild hogs and some nice loan boars. It is also peak breeding season, and the big boars are on the move. We’ve taken some real trophy boars in the last few weeks. During the night hunts, we are hearing the hogs fighting and squealing well before we see them. We’ve had great luck calling in the hogs since they are ready to fight or breed. This creates a one of a kind experience when a boar runs in toward the call. We have plenty of hogs to accommodate all of our repeat Fall/ Winter customers and new ones, as well. Availability is getting limited, but the hogs are plentiful. We’ve had a 100% success rate for months now!
