Wild Hog
Bow Hunting
Are you looking for an extreme archery challenge?
Grab your gear and let's try your luck on some feral swine!
At Team Swamp Stomp, we offer some great bowhunting for Texas wild hogs. We offer two options for our archery fanatics. We have crafted these fully-guided pig hunts for maximum success and excitement. Both hunts are conducted at our hunting preserve area with prime habitat, food sources, and trails. Bow hunting wild hogs is a real challenge, and we recommend that archery hunters have some previous experience.

Spot and stalk archery hunt - This archery hog hunt demands stealth and skill. Your guide will take you on foot to bedding areas where you will look for hogs who have settled in to rest for the day. We frequently stalk up to 30 yards or less! Once the target is ranged, we will try to sneak an arrow through the brush to take down your hog. This hunt includes one hog over 50 pounds or two hogs under 50 pounds. Extra hogs can be added for $150 each. The hunt usually lasts 4 hours. Be sure to check out our Hunt Filming page if you would like a custom video of the excitement.

Archery hunt with hog dogs - This bow hunt is one of the most challenging and fun trips that we offer. This tactic involves a specially trained hog hunting dog who will find and “bay” a hog. This dog will bark and distract the hog while we make an approach. The guide will direct you to silently creep up to bow range. At precisely the right second, he will instruct you to make the shot on your hog. This hunt often involves fast-paced walking and difficult terrain. We encourage our bow hunters to come prepared with plenty of arrows and good, fixed blade broad heads. Wild hogs have a very tough cartilage shield and shoulder blade. Also, many shots are through brush that could cause a mechanical broadhead to malfunction. This trip is perfect for our Hunt Filming Upgrade. This hunt includes one hog per person. Additional hogs are $150.
