Wild Hog Daytime Rifle Hunting
Wild Hog Daytime Rifle Hunting
At Team Swamp Stomp, we have designed the ULTIMATE wild hog hunting area for daytime hog hunts. Our preserve area has water holes, spring fed creeks, large cedar thicket bedding areas, and a network of trails and roads for access into the high probability hunting spots. Our hunting area is dotted with multiple bait sites, feeders, and mineral attractants. It will be hard to find better hog habitat!
Daytime hunting can be conducted in two ways. For our hunters looking for a more active and challenging approach, spot and stalk is the technique to use. Many times, we end up crawling or scooting our way into position for a close range shot at a boar! This hunt is not easy, but it provides a great thrill.
For our hunters looking for a more laid back experience, a brush blind hunt over a bait site is the choice to make. Our guides will accompany you to one our high traffic areas where the hogs have been feeding frequently. Hold still and quiet, and you are sure to see the swine!
For our hunters doing a "THERMAL HOG HUNT," this is a great upgrade to add some action in the daylight.
During our daytime hunts, we include a suppressed bolt action rifle, ammo, and shooting sticks. Feel free to bring your own equipment if you have a favorite firearm. Calibers for hog hunting should be heavier than .223. Wild hogs have thick skin and cartilage that require a decent size round and good shot placement.
Your hunt will include one hog of any size. NO TROPHY FEES! Additional hogs can be added at $1.00 per pound. Are you looking for an unlimited hog hunt? See our “THERMAL HOG HUNT” page. We guarantee a shot opportunity on the daytime hunt session, and our guides will be doing preparations ahead of time to ensure a successful hunt.
