Where did hogs come from?

Early Spanish explorers brought domestic hogs over 300 years ago. In the 1930’s, Russian boars were brought over for sport hunting and escaped into the wild. The cross between the two is our current feral hog. Long nose, broad shoulders, big teeth, long legs, and erect ears make for some mean swine!
